Wish me luck.

I am teaching ridiculously smart 1st graders tomorrow.

Most first graders are just learning how to read.

I am assured that these students can read quite well.

Even a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson.

I just hope I make a good connection with this poem

And how to use patterns to learn about writing.

Really, wish me luck.

I’m scared that I’ll fail.

And part of me might be afraid to succeed?
